Zaha Hadid Design was founded in London in 2006 by architect Zaha Hadid, extending the fluid, non-orthogonal language of her practice, Zaha Hadid Architects, into furniture, lighting and objects for the home. The studio treats product design as architecture at a smaller scale, applying new material and manufacturing techniques to forms built from curved, continuous surfaces rather than straight lines. Since Hadid's death in 2016, the studio operates under the Zaha Hadid Foundation, continuing to develop designs from her original research across interiors, tableware and lighting.
